Upon Sister Kong䏭 arrival at Sitiawan, the Holy Spirit spoke to them through the interpretation of tongues (on 2 Chronicles chapter 20). It was about how King Jehoshaphat met the invasion of the three allying countries of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir. The king defeated the enemies by fasting and praising God as he went before the army. The host of God caused the three armies to fight and kill one another. The king had only to come and take the enemies properties. God䏭 method of slaying the adversaries surpassed the human imagination for victory belongs to God. The Holy Spirit said, 𦔒n Sitiawan, there were three allying groups namely the non-believers, the heretics, and the believers who opposed spiritual grace. They wanted to join forces to oppose the truth of God. God commanded Sister Kong and the co-workers to fast, pray, and praise Him all the more, and watch Him perform mighty works.

True enough, on the second day, many believers who opposed the spiritual grace came to revile them, creating rumors to slander them. The neighbors on their left put up a circus while the neighbors on the right, who were the followers of an evil religion, celebrated the birthday of a false god by staging an opera. On the first night, the gospel campaign was conducted indoors because they had not obtained a permit yet. But God was gracious to Sister Kong and her co-workers. He personally brought many listeners who crowded the house inside and out. On the second night, the campaign was held outside. Nearly a thousand people were directed by the Holy Spirit to come before God. Many people who were poor in spirit believed in the Lord and received the Holy Spirit. From morning till night, groups of students came to the place Sister Kong stayed to discuss the truth. Every one of them repented in tears, accepted the Lord as their Savior, received the promised Holy Spirit, and spoke in tongues.

God daily led the Spirit-baptized brothers and sisters from Singapore, Johore Bahru, Ipoh, Taiping to Sitiawan to join the force. All of them witnessed beautifully for Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the truth. Especially the former Methodist youths whom God had raised in Ipoh for His name䏭 sake; they had been spreading the flame of revival wherever they went since they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They also bore effective testimonies to the truth in many places. As they obeyed God and not the manmade denominational ordinances and regulations, they met with opposition from those who disobeyed the truth. However, these youths were fervent in their spirits. They willingly carried the cross to follow the Lord, bravely witnessing the reality of the spiritual grace and proclaiming aloud to the denominational people, that they might repent and receive the spiritual grace. One day, these youths were motivated by the Holy Spirit to come to Sitiawan for water baptism (they were formerly sprinkled with water at the Methodist chapel). During the service that night, they witnessed for the Lord. Among them was Brother Lai who was formerly the vice chairman of the Youth Fellowship of the Methodist chapel in Ipoh. He testified that he appeared to be godly but was actually corrupt. He loved watching movies, reading obscene publications, and martial arts novels. But after he had been filled with the Holy Spirit, he obtained power to deal with all sins. So, he brought along one carton of novels and tore every single book to witness the wondrous power of the Holy Spirit in front of the congregation. Some other youths also testified about the reality of the anointing. The Holy Spirit filled them mightily and used them to denounce the sins of denominational pastors, teachers, and leaders who resisted the spiritual grace, disobeyed the truth, and committed adultery with the world. The Holy Spirit worked tremendously that night. Though it was drizzling, the audience sat still. These youths gave powerful testimonies and many people were deeply moved. But there were also many who strongly opposed.

That night some people arose to attack violently. They wanted to drive us out of Sitiawan and forbade us to continue delivering the sermons. After the service ended that night, Sister Kong and the co-workers broke bread to commemorate the Lord with the newly baptized brothers and sisters from Ipoh and the youths who testified at the place where they stayed. In tears they dedicated their problems to the Lord, and prayed that His exquisite will be fulfilled. The Spirit of the Lord led them to sing a hymn from Romans chapter eight verses 3539, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: 𤧶or your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Before dawn broke, there were people who said that they were going to drive Sister Kong out of the district. The sister who received Sister Kong was panic-stricken. She begged Sister Kong to pack up quickly and leave for Penang. Sister Kong and her co-workers prayed and sought for God䏭 will during the morning prayer. At that time, God commanded them to interpret the revelation spoken in tongues and to read his words. They were told to stand firm and not to leave the place; to speak and not to hold their peace. They were to behold how God would work mightily for them. God rebuked this faithless and perverse generation which wanted to drive away the servants and maidservants He had sent. He told the few sisters who invited Sister Kong not to be scared, but to be strong and courageous. Do not fear men, but he Holy One of Israel渄ehovah God, the Lord of hosts. But these few sisters were weak in faith. They still feared men䏭 persecutions because the place they lodged belonged to their relatives (who worked in a missionary school). They were scared that opposition would rise from the denominations if they continued to receive them. So they insister Kong䏭 immediate departure.

After the prayer meeting, God brought the brothers and sisters in charge of the Christian Assembly (Brother and Sister Tiang, two Brother Lims, Sister Yi, Brother Liew, and so on) there to discuss with them. The two Brother Lims came to our gospel campaign during the first two days. After they were baptized with the Holy Spirit, they went back to the Christian Assembly and spread the good tidings there. Nevertheless, elderly Brother Tiang was still reluctant to join the service during the first few nights. The venue for the gospel campaign was separated from the Christian Assembly by a road, so they could hear the messages spoken through the loud speakers every night. Finally Brother Tiang was led by God to come and listen to the sermon. On the previous night, the testimonies given by the youths of Ipoh greatly moved him. Thus, he came for discussion with Sister Kong the next day. When Sister Kong testified to this old brother and the others about the reality of the Holy Spirit, they all received the word willingly. They welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. (1 Thess. 2:13). They willingly submitted to the truth and so the Spirit of God filled them greatly. Old Brother Tiang and his wife, Brother Liew, Sister Yi, and the two Brother Lims all prayed together in tongues. A few days earlier, some of them could not believe this, but they did then. They had tasted the sweetness of this spiritual grace and had risen to battle fervently for the truth. They were willing to cast aside all the erroneous traditional prejudices (such as: sisters were not allowed to preach the words of God, sisters must wear a hat or a veil in place of long hair as a head covering). Moreover, they were willing to be led by the Holy Spirit into the serving of the Spirit of the truth.

That night, there was a heavy downpour. Many people came with their umbrellas for the service. As the denominations forbade Sister Kong to deliver the sermons there, the audience had to stand there and wait. She and her co-workers felt very bitter for having no place where they could preach the holy word of God and they would feel worse if they were to send the audience away who had come in the heavy rain. The spirit of God inspired Brother Tiang, Brother Lim, and other responsible brothers in the Christian Assembly that they should bring us to the temple of God (it was formerly the Christian Assembly, but later it was established by God to become the Church of Sitiawan) to preach his word, and the audience followed them. Once they arrived at the house of God, instantly Sister Kong knelt down and rendered thanksgiving in tears for God䏭 grace.

On the following day, God led Sister Kong and the co-workers to the house of Brother Tiang (at the back of the church premises). God䏭 truth grew and multiplied greatly and the number of people baptized unto the Lord increased daily. Among them were many English educated youths who spoke no other languages except English. God timely prepared Brother Wong (son of Sister Phan) who was formerly a preacher of a certain denomination in Penang. He was led by the Lord to follow Sister Kong to Sitiawan, and later he stayed behind to shepherd this group of youths. Many people were healed of their sicknesses after they had been baptized with the Holy Spirit. The lukewarm believers were revived, many who opposed the truth of the Holy Spirit returned and the Modernists repented. Many youths offered themselves totally, giving themselves to prayers and preaching. There were also many families, formerly the followers of the True Jesus Church and the heretical Roman Catholics, who repented, and returned to the right path; baptized unto Christ and received the Holy Spirit.

During one testimony-giving service, brothers and sisters brought along a heap of abominable and detestable things such as books on witchcraft and idols which they have stored up in their homes. These things were burnt in the compound of the venue and God䏭 name was greatly glorified. Satan became jealous, so he raised a group of villains who threatened to stone Sister Kong and the co-workers to death and forbade them to preach the truth there. Besides, they would also use weapons to deal with them and wanted to burn down the church. They claimed themselves to be more villainous than those in Kuala Lumpur. However hard the wicked men tried to terrify them, Sister Kong and the co-workers continued to deliver sermons boldly. Although the brothers and sisters heard the rumors, they still came to worship in the temple of God enthusiastically. Outside the door stood countless villains yet God kept them safely inside.
