Death DeathDeath Death

God says, 覀茽or the wages of sin is death仮 (Rom. 6:23). 覀姯he soul who sins shall die仮 (Ezek. 18:4). These are the words of God. What men fear most is death, yet no one can escape it. Some people say, 覀𦲀f I have to die, let me die. Death will end all my problems.仮 They are wrong! Everything does not end with death. Death is not the end of men but the beginning of eternity for their soul. 覀𦵑nd as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment仮 (Heb. 9:27). Don脌 forget that man was created in God䏭 image. Besides having a body, man also has a soul and a spirit. The minute we cease to breathe, this corruptible body will return to the dust, but the soul will have to face the righteous judgment before God. 覀𦵑nd I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books仮 (Rev. 20:12). Those who commit sins will not only taste their bitter fruit in this life (please read Suffering in Sins) but will also suffer punishment for their sins in the life to come. Whether a man䏭 soul goes to heaven or to the lake of fire depends on whether he receives Jesus as his Savior while he is alive. A sinner must confess all his sins before the cross and be redeemed from sin by the precious blood of Jesus. Otherwise, he will come under the judgment of God, and be 覀焝ast into the lake of fire and brimstone and be tormented day and night forever and ever仮 (Rev. 20:10). The lake of fire is indeed a place of horror. 覀熎here 勇heir worm does not die and the fire is not quenched. For everyone will be seasoned with fire仮 (Mark 9:4849). The word forever means without end. Just think: If we cannot endure the temporal hardships of this life, how can we bear eternal torment in the life to come? Yet men seek temporary pleasures and despise eternal life. Consequently, they bring eternal damnation upon themselves. How foolish indeed!

Dear readers, how do you feel after reading God䏭 word? Men䏭 life is short and sinful. It is full of toil and frustrations. Man has no peace of mind. Even if men could gain the whole world, they still wouldn脌 be able to escape death and judgment. What hope is there under these circumstances? But thank the loving God. While we were in sorrow and despair, He prepared a wonderful salvation for us.
