As recorded in the Bible, Bethany was a village near Jerusalem. In Bethany, there was a family who always received the Lord Jesus into their house. The Lord found rest in this place. After spending His day in Jerusalem, the Lord went out of the city to Bethany and lodged here. In Bethany, the Lord raised Lazarus, who had been in the tomb for four days, from the dead (Refer John chapter 11).

In 1980, the authorities unjustly revoked the registration of the Church of Miri in Sarawak, Malaysia. Consequently, the brothers and sisters had to hold their meetings on a narrow piece of land called 𣿯eidi䏭 Home, which belonged to one of the brothers. Later, when the Church of Miri found a new premises, only a few brothers and sisters stayed on to take care of Heidi䏭 Home. In early 1991, there was a flood and the land became uninhabitable and was left in desolation. However, when brothers and sisters went back to the land a year later, they discovered that all kinds of fruit trees were blossoming and bearing fruits. At this time, God led the brothers and sisters to buy the land and its neighboring land as a place for reception. In November 1992, the Prophet of All Nations felt that this land was just like Lazarus, who died and rose again. Therefore, he was urged in the spirit to change its name to Bethany. This is the place the Lord remembers and cherishes. This is where God and men find rest.
